From a Dream and Determination to a Destination
Café Onchillah by KandySwing was born to satisfy the cravings of young adventurers and group travelers drawn to our unique swinging experience—a joyful activity we proudly introduced for leisure and fun.
The dream began with Aga and Roshan, inspired by a soul-stirring vacation in Bali. Upon their return home, they envisioned elevating the centuries-old Sinhala tradition of swinging—practiced during the New Year Festival—into a modern-day experience, enriched with an authentic Sri Lankan essence.
To bring their vision to life, they laid the foundation for Café OnChillah, a concept dining space designed to serve our cherished visitors. The café now stands on land once inherited by Roshan from his grandparents—a place that had long been forgotten, now lovingly landscaped and revitalized.
Today, Café Onchillah is more than a café—it’s a sanctuary of flavor, culture and community. With our rich culinary heritage, peaceful ambiance and breathtaking views of the hills, we offer not just a meal but an absolute experience.
